According to NSTC, the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award aims to nurture young research talent, provide incentives to future talent in academic fields to devote themselves to academic research throughout their careers whilst commemorating the contributions that the late Mr. Ta-You Wu has made to the development of scientific and technological research.

The ASCE Distinguished Service Medal Award in Region 10 was established by the unanimous vote of the Region 10 Board of Governors on July 24, 2019, to recognize distinguished service to ASCE through service to Region 10.
