2026 Culture Day: Culture Beyond Borders- Ethiopia

The College of Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) successfully hosted the “Ethiopian Culture Day 2026 – Bilingual Cultural Exchange Forum” on May 6, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to explore the richness of Ethiopian culture and promote cross-cultural understanding on campus.

The event featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Tola Garo Shaka, a Ph.D. student supervised by Dean Chih-Ping Lin. Through an engaging and informative presentation, Mr. Tola introduced participants to Ethiopia’s history, traditions, daily life, and cultural heritage, offering attendees a deeper understanding of the unique charm and diversity of Ethiopian culture.

To encourage interaction and audience engagement, the session also included interactive activities and discussions, allowing participants to learn about Ethiopia in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The event created valuable opportunities for cultural exchange and meaningful conversations among both international and local students.
